As Samson, the little Boxer dog, made his way up the path to meet his new family, he thought to himself that he was going to be the best, most well-behaved pet in the world. He felt very happy to meet his new family—there was mummy, daddy, and two children aged 6 and 10.

Samson walked up to the door, and before he could knock, the door opened, and the two children came rushing out. One held a brand new shiny lead, and the other held a big bag of doggy treats. Of course, only the best, most well-behaved dogs deserve a treat. So Samson sat down and became very still, rewarded with a very tasty dog biscuit. Samson felt very lucky, as this was his most favorite biscuit.

Inside, Samson and the children met mummy and daddy. Samson was delighted to see a huge doggy bed with his name on it. Mummy and daddy both came over and gave Samson a big, almighty hug. From that moment, Samson knew he was going to be very, very happy.
